Web Analytics

Web analytics is a way of analyzing or measuring the usage of website to know the use of website and to improve the effectiveness of a website. It provides information about the number of visitors and the number of page views to a website. It is useful on business and market research and also helps on becoming your website popular.

Web analytics are categories on two types. They are: off-site web analytics and on-site web analytics.
i) Off –site web analytics:
Off-site Analysis of a website’s potential audience (opportunity), share of voice (visibility) and buzz (comments) that is happening on the internet as a whole off-site analytics is the web analysis irrespective of whether you own or maintain a website. 

ii) On-site web analytics
On-site web analytics is the commercial web measurement and analysis on the performance of your website by the response and argument of the visitor’s once in your website. These include drivers and conversion, for example, the degree to which different landing pages are associated with online purchases. This data is typically compared against key performance response and argument on the performance you would able to improve your website.

Google analytics in the most widely used  on-site web analytics till, although new tools are emerging with additional layer of information (heat maps and session replay).
